PRIOR TO ORDERING THIS PART, THE FOLLOWING MUST BE VERIFIED:
Tech Tip Part Description: RE series transmission solenoid
Tech Tip Description: Customer may complain about the transmission having abrupt or jerky shifts, or have check engine light with P1762 "Press Offset Too High or Low" code retrieved by DRBIII. Governor pressure transducer replacement may correct this problem. If this is the complaint use 56028196AD. Do not replace the governor pressure solenoid for this concern. This applies for all RE series transmissions: 42RE, 46RE, 47RE. Closely inspect the Transmission Wiring harness located near the solenoid pack. The harness may have been moved during previous service actions. A misrouted harness could make contact in this area and induce fault codes. Replacement of the transducer without properly repairing the harness, will not correct these fault codes.
