Tech Tip Part Description:   Wireless DVD Headphones

Tech Tip Description:   Issue 1:

If a customer is experiencing a problem with their wireless DVD headphones that they feel should be covered under warranty they are to call Unwired at (888) 293-3332. All wireless headphone claims are handled by Unwired and will be shipped directly to the customer. Do not order and replace the headphones through the normal warranty process, refer to the Warranty Administration Guide for more information.

The wireless headphones available through the parts department are for customer pay such as physical damage, lost headphones, additional headphones, etc

Issue 2:

The customer has a limited lifetime warranty (per the owner`s manual) on the headphones. Headphones are NOT covered under warranty. If you charge the claim to warranty, you will be charged back.

Please have the customer contact the manufacturer. See Note #2 below for manufacturers phone numbers.

Issue 3:

Static Sound in Headphones = Caused by Incorrect Headphones:

1) SINGLE CHANNEL HEADPHONES WILL NOT WORK IN DUAL CHANNEL VIDEO SYSTEM!

2) If Video System Headphones are non-operational or have static, Check to ensure correct Headphones and corresponding Audio Kit are being used.

3) Dual Channel Audio Kit is P/N 05064073AD. Corresponding Headphone P/N is 05107082AC marked inside of battery door. Proper headphones cups fold, have letters "VES" printed next to power button, and have a "1" "2" selector switch on top of the right ear cup.

Issue 4:

For a wireless headphone assembly, if the battery cover is all that is needed, contact the headphone manufacturer directly to order a battery cover. Do NOT replace the entire headphone assembly. See Note# 2 below for manufacturers phone numbers.

PN 05107082 is an "Unwired" headphone, not a KOSS product.
