What to do when user is able to complete the download process of "StarPartsLauncher.exe" and no icon gets created on his/her desktop?

Solution 1

1.     Go to directory – “C:\Users\<User Profile>\Desktop” <User Profile> will be the account which user has used while downloading the StarParts application; it will be the Admin account.
2.     Copy the “StarParts” icon and paste it over user’s Desktop.
3.     Double click on the “StarParts” icon to launch the application.

Solution 2

1. Go to directory - "C:\Users\<User Profile>\dc_fw\SPLauncher".
2. Create Desktop Shortcupt for file - "sp_launch.bat", Right click on the mentioned icon and select "Send to -> Desktop (Shortcut)" option.
3. Go to Desktop and double click on icon - "sp_launch.bat - Shortcut"
4. Try putting in the credentials and check if everything is working fine with the StarParts application.
5. If StarParts application is working fine, close the application to change the Desktop icon and name of the icon.
6. Right click on the Desktop Icon - "sp_launch.bat - Shortcut"; click on Rename and Change the file name to - "StarParts".
7. Right click on the Desktop Icon - "StarParts" and click on Properties.
8. Click on "Change Icon" button in the StarParts properties windows.
9. Click Ok on the Change icon alert window.
10. Click on Browse button anc go to directory - "C:\Users\<User Profile>\dc_fw\SPLauncher"
11. Select "SPI_Lite.ico" and click on Open button.
12. StarParts icon will be selected in the Change Icon screen, Click Ok.
13. Click Ok in the StarParts properties.
