    1. Can I search for Sales Code descriptions if I don't have a VIN. - Top

    Yes, go to the Parts Illustration Screen and enter the Sales Code in the white box on the top right of your screen and press Enter and the system will display the Sales Code description. - Updated: March 15, 2006

    2. Can I sort my bookmarks by date, VIN, or alphabetically by Customer name? - Top

    Yes, by clicking on the corresponding title bar in each column, it will sort by that field. If you list customer names in the remarks field you can sort them alphabetically by clicking on the Remarks title bar. - Updated: March 15, 2006

    3. Is there a StarParts manual? - Top

    There is a StarParts System Functionality document in Adobe format located on the StarParts homepage. Just click on the Job Aids Document link. - Updated: March 15, 2006

    4. When going to the StarParts homepage I get a message saying you need a java capable web browser? - Top

    You need the latest Java VM patch in order for your Internet browser to load the Star Parts starter applet. Click on the Help & FAQ tab and click on the link for the Java VM patch which will direct you to the Java website to download the software. Call helpdesk if any assistance is needed in installing the software. - Updated: March 15, 2006

    5. How will I know if StarParts is down or whether its my PC/network ? - Top

    1.Always look to the scrolling message on the left side of the Star Parts homepage. The message will display if StarParts is having technical issues. 2. Call the Dealer Helpdesk at 800-374-4040 options 1-4 and listen for a flash message stating any problem with the Star Parts application. If there is no Flash message posted please hold for a technician for assistance. - Updated: March 15, 2006

    6. How do I add more parts people to Star Parts? - Top

    All users must have a SID and have been trained on the Star Parts training program. Once this is completed you need to fill out and submit the completion form located in the New User section of the Star Parts homepage. - Updated: August 30, 2004

    7. Is Star Parts written in any language other than English? - Top

    StarParts is currently in 7 Languages.
    English, German, Spanish, French France, French Canadian, Italian, and Portuguese.

    8. Will paper and microfiche catalogs still be available? - Top

    Both paper and microfiche catalogs have been replaced with E-Fiche. E-Fiche subscription and ordering information can be found at the Star Parts homepage. - Updated: August 30, 2004

    9. How will I receive updates, and how often? - Top

    Mopar is updating the StarParts system twice a week. The updates will be done automatically in off hours and the updated catalogs will be available to you on the next morning when you login to Star Parts.

    10. Does StarParts contain the same cataloging data available today? - Top

    Yes, StarParts will deliver the same catalog data as your current EPC and a whole lot more. However the data is presented in a completely different way for greater ease in specifying parts. The catalog system allows the data to be VIN-filtered and updated on a weekly basis. A lot of additional data is included as well: Integrated Reman & Value line parts, supersedence information, TSB’s, etc - Updated: September 10, 2008

    11. What Sales Code information will be available in StarParts? - Top

    In order to simplify the parts specification process, sales codes and descriptions will be available for model years ‘84 to present. Star Parts will include six additional years of data versus what is currently available in GPOP.
