    1. How long does it take for my feedback to be answered/corrected? - Top

    For feedbacks on data issues, we suggest that you check the catalog in two weeks and the correction should be made. - Updated: August 30, 2004

    2. Why doesn't StarParts list TSB's for older model years ? - Top

    For model years 1996 and back, the system cannot link a part to a TSB

    3. How do I email an Illustration / text to a customer ? - Top

    Once you are on the part / illustration screen that you want to email:
    Press the ALT & Print Scrn buttons at the same time, this will create an image of the screen
    Open Microsoft Word or Paint and hit Ctrl-V save file and attach into email.

    4. How do we print just the list prices from Exchange ? - Top

    Select the parts and transfer to Exchange.
    Select the "Show Prices" Option.
    Scroll over so only the List price is displayed.
    Click on "Print" and Select "Fax/Print Current Screen" Option.

    5. How do we search for a part number across all Catalogs ? - Top

    Select : the search icon ( binocular ) at the top of the screen or the search button at the bottom of your screen
    Select : Search Current Catalog - which searches through the catalog you are currently in.
    Search all catalogs - will perform a search throughout all catalogs.
    Key in the part number or name.
    Press the enter key. - Updated: June 24, 2004

    6. Can we copy a Part number or VIN from GPOP or your In-house System into Starparts ? - Top

    Yes, you can.
    Highlight the Part number or VIN in GPOP or your In-house system.
    Press Ctrl + C OR Right click on the mouse and select copy (this will copy the VIN or part number from GPOP or your In-house System)
    Get into StarParts and press Ctrl + V OR Right click on the mouse and select paste (this will paste the VIN or part number into StarParts). - Updated: August 30, 2004

    7. . My StarParts "Parts List" does not transfer to my in-house Dealer Management System, what do I do? - Top

    The parts transfer file is called parts.xml it will be dropped into a folder on the C: Drive called Temp. If your PC doesn’t have a temp folder one will be created once you hit the Transfer Parts button in the Star Exchange screen. The final step of the transfer is done by your local DSP. You will need to contact your DSP so they can install their software to complete the transfer. - Updated: September 10, 2008
